Grim Rust is a rust effect paint from The Army Painter John Blanche Masterclass range for weathering weapons, armour, machinery, vehicles, and other metal surfaces. It is made for adding the dirty, corroded character that turns freshly painted metal into something that looks as though it has actually survived a few unpleasant years.

Use Grim Rust around joints, damaged armour, rivets, weapons, mechanical parts, and anywhere corrosion would naturally collect. Apply it selectively over metallics or combine it with other rust and weathering effects to build more variation. It is particularly at home in Blanchitsu painting, where worn materials and imperfect surfaces help tell the story of the miniature.

Grim Rust is a useful specialist paint when clean metal simply looks too clean and your miniature needs some age, neglect, and proper grimdark abuse.
