Vallejo Squidmar Color Steel NMM Set

Vallejo Squidmar Color – Steel NMM Set is a four-colour paint set for painting steel with the Non-Metallic Metal technique, without using metallic paint. The palette provides the light and dark values needed to place defined shadows and reflections, creating the illusion of a reflective steel surface through contrast.

The set combines Pitch Black for the deepest shadows with Deep Blue Sea to introduce cooler dark tones. Ume Grey provides the lighter transition towards the reflections, while Final Yellow can be used for the brightest reflected light and warmer highlights. Careful placement of these colours lets you build convincing NMM effects on sword blades, armour and other metal surfaces without relying on metallic pigments.

Each Squidmar Color paint comes in an 18 ml bottle. If you're comparing paint ranges before choosing your colours, our Vallejo vs Army Painter comparison explains the practical differences between the two brands.
