Base-X Black Forest Basetopping

Black Forest is a ready-to-use glow in the dark basing material from Base-X that has been developed to recreate mystical woodlands, dark forests and enchanted landscapes on miniature bases. The carefully composed texture mix can be applied directly with hobby glue, allowing hobbyists to create finished bases quickly without combining multiple basing products or techniques.

The forest-inspired texture is particularly suitable for fantasy armies, magical skirmish warbands and scenic display projects. Whether you're building woodland realms, haunted forests or mysterious ruins reclaimed by nature, Black Forest helps establish an immersive and consistent environment across your miniatures with very little preparation.

What makes this basing material particularly distinctive is its glow in the dark effect. Purple and violet crystals within the mixture emit a subtle luminescent glow under low-light conditions and become even more pronounced under UV and black light. The result is a magical and mysterious appearance that works exceptionally well for enchanted forests, arcane settings and other fantasy environments where atmospheric basing plays an important role.

The mixture contains up to ten different materials that work together to create texture, depth and natural visual variation across the base. Black Forest can be used directly from the tub.
