When should you use Sunrise Blaze Basing Paste?
Sunrise Blaze Basing Paste is perfect for recreating warm desert environments, rocky canyons, dry badlands and sun-scorched battlefields. Its distinctive orange-yellow colour makes it an excellent choice for fantasy armies, historical desert campaigns and science fiction worlds where the landscape is dominated by sandstone and limestone formations. It also pairs beautifully with sparse vegetation, rocks and weathering pigments to create realistic desert bases.
How to apply
Apply AK Interactive Sunrise Blaze Basing Paste directly from the pot using a sculpting tool, spatula or an old brush. Spread the paste evenly across the miniature base and shape the surface while it remains workable. The product performs well in both thin and thicker layers and can be thinned with water or an acrylic thinner if a smoother consistency is required. Allow approximately 6 hours for the basing paste to dry completely before adding additional basing materials or weathering effects.
Tips for the best results
Warm desert landscapes become more convincing when different textures and colours are combined. Pair Sunrise Blaze Basing Paste with lighter sand, scattered rocks or dry vegetation to create natural transitions across the base.
