AK-Interactive Panel Liner Light Grey

The AK Interactive Panel Liner – Light Gray is an enamel wash for defining panel lines, recessed details and mechanical surfaces without creating the strong contrast of a black or dark wash. Its light grey colour makes it particularly useful on white, pale grey and other light-coloured models where darker panel lining could look too pronounced.

The thin consistency allows the liner to flow along engraved lines and into recessed details through capillary action. This makes it useful for aircraft, sci-fi models, mecha and other subjects where you want the surface details to remain visible while keeping the overall finish relatively clean and subtle.

Choose Light Gray when you want definition rather than heavy weathering. It can be used to separate panels and emphasise small structural details while keeping the contrast controlled, making it a useful alternative to Black on lighter colour schemes.

How to use

Apply the Panel Liner over a gloss or satin varnished surface. Shake the bottle thoroughly, then introduce a small amount into the panel line or recessed detail with a fine brush. Allow capillary action to distribute the liner and remove or soften excess product with a brush or cotton swab lightly dampened with enamel thinner.

Build the effect gradually if you want stronger definition. For a clean finish, keep the application concentrated in the recesses rather than spreading the liner across the surrounding surface.
