AK-Interactive Panel Liner Dark Brown

The AK Interactive Panel Liner – Dark Brown is an enamel wash for defining panel lines, recessed details and surface features while adding a warm, natural shadow. Its dark brown tone provides softer contrast than black, making it particularly useful on military models, historical subjects, camouflage and earth-toned finishes.

The thin consistency allows the liner to flow into engraved lines and around rivets, surface details and recesses through capillary action. Besides defining details, the brown tone can help suggest accumulated dirt and grime, making it useful when you want the panel lining to become part of the overall weathered finish rather than appear as a strong separate line.

Choose Dark Brown when Black would create too much contrast but you still want clearly visible definition. It works well across tanks, aircraft, vehicles, miniatures and diorama elements and can be combined with other weathering products when building more extensive dirt and wear effects.

How to use

Apply the Panel Liner over a gloss or satin varnished surface. Shake the bottle thoroughly, then introduce a small amount into panel lines and around recessed details with a fine brush. Allow capillary action to distribute the liner and remove or soften excess with a brush or cotton swab lightly dampened with enamel thinner.

Apply additional small amounts where you want deeper shadows or more visible grime. For subtle weathering, keep the liner concentrated around the details and remove more of the excess from the surrounding surface.
