It also works beautifully on display bases where the terrain itself helps tell the story of a world shaped by extreme heat.

How to apply

Apply AK Interactive Fire Land Basing Paste directly from the pot using a sculpting tool, spatula or an old brush. Spread the paste evenly across the miniature base while shaping the surface before it begins to dry. The product performs equally well in thin and thicker layers and can be thinned with water or an acrylic thinner if required. Allow approximately 6 hours for the basing paste to dry completely before adding pigments, weathering products or additional scenic materials.

Tips for the best results

The warm red tones become even more convincing when combined with darker rocks, scattered volcanic stones or weathering pigments. A light drybrush using pale sandstone or orange tones will highlight the texture and create additional depth, while small patches of black ash or sparse vegetation help recreate the appearance of a hostile world where life struggles to survive. For even greater realism, combine Fire Land with darker volcanic textures to create natural transitions across the base.
