When should you use Bloody Land Basing Paste?

Bloody Land Basing Paste is perfect for creating corrupted battlefields, volcanic wastelands, infernal realms and alien planets. The distinctive crimson limestone appearance makes it an excellent choice for fantasy armies, chaos-themed miniatures, demons, monsters and science fiction forces fighting across hostile worlds. It also works beautifully for display bases where you want the ground itself to become part of the miniature's story.

How to apply

Apply AK Interactive Bloody Land Basing Paste directly from the pot using a sculpting tool, spatula or an old brush. Spread the paste evenly across the miniature base and shape the surface while it remains workable. The product can be applied in both thin and thicker layers and may be thinned with water or an acrylic thinner if required. Allow approximately 6 hours for the basing paste to dry completely before adding additional weathering products, pigments or scenic details.

Tips for the best results

The intense crimson tones work best when contrasted with darker rocks, black volcanic stone or sparse vegetation. Drybrushing the raised texture with lighter earth or sandstone colours helps reveal additional depth, while pigments and weathering effects can be used to create scorched ground, ancient battlefields or otherworldly landscapes full of atmosphere.
