About the Banana Department

The Banana Department operates as a subsidiary department of the BWAH-Division and is responsible for all matters assigned to the Banana Department.

This includes banana-related matters, non-banana-related matters and matters for which banana relevance has not yet been conclusively excluded.

The Banana Department is currently located within Wendy's Miniatures.

The reason for this arrangement is unknown.

No relocation is planned.

Departmental responsibilities

The Banana Department coordinates, processes, registers, evaluates and, where appropriate, forwards matters falling within its administrative competence.

A matter may fall within the competence of the Banana Department where:

  • the BWAH-Division has referred it to the Banana Department;
  • another department has refused responsibility;
  • no suitable department could be identified;
  • the matter contains a banana;
  • the matter does not contain a banana but could reasonably have contained one;
  • administrative processing has continued for longer than the original problem existed;
  • or somebody has already started a spreadsheet.

The presence of an actual banana does not automatically establish competence.

Additional documentation may be required.

Banana classification

Bananas submitted to the Banana Department may be classified as:

B-01 — Banana
A banana which, following assessment, has been determined to be a banana.

B-02 — Provisional Banana
A banana whose banana status remains subject to confirmation.

B-03 — Non-Banana
An item incorrectly submitted as a banana.

B-04 — Banana-Adjacent
An item insufficiently banana to qualify as B-01 but too banana to be excluded entirely.

B-05 — Administrative Banana
No physical banana is present, but the circumstances justify banana classification.

Classification does not imply approval.

Approval does not imply classification.

Submission procedure

Before submitting a matter to the Banana Department, applicants should establish whether submission is necessary.

Where this cannot be established without submitting the matter, applicants may submit the matter for the purpose of establishing whether it should have been submitted.

Please do not submit duplicate requests.

Where a duplicate request is required, the duplicate should clearly identify the original request.

If the original request cannot be identified, the duplicate may be processed as an original request.

This may result in duplication.

Banana Representative

Where applicable, entities may be required to appoint a Banana Representative.

The Banana Representative must be authorised to represent the represented entity in matters requiring representation.

The Banana Department does not maintain a list of circumstances in which representation is required.

Please contact your Banana Representative for further information.

If you do not have a Banana Representative, please determine whether one is required before appointing one.

Registration with the Banana Department is not currently mandatory.

Registered entities should nevertheless ensure that their registration remains current.

Unregistered entities are not required to take action unless action is required.

The registration portal is currently unavailable.

There is no registration portal.

This is considered normal operation.

Fees

The Banana Department does not charge a fee for the submission of banana-related matters.

Processing fees may apply to non-banana matters.

Banana-adjacent matters will be assessed individually.

Administrative Bananas may incur an administrative banana surcharge.

The current surcharge is €0.00 excluding applicable administrative charges.

Supervisory authority

The Banana Department operates under the administrative supervision of the BWAH-Division at CCGwinkel.nl.

Matters requiring escalation, clarification, reclassification or unnecessary additional administration may be referred to the BWAH-Division.

The BWAH-Division may subsequently determine that the matter falls within the competence of the Banana Department and return it accordingly.

This should not be interpreted as a new decision.

Applicants are requested not to begin a new procedure while the existing procedure is being returned to the beginning.
